"I came that they might have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10) |
|
| Welcome to the Claretian Missionaries |
| |
We are a Roman
Catholic Religious Order founded by Saint
Anthony Claret, a Catalonian priest, in Vic, Spain, on July 16th
1849.
The aim of our Congregation is to seek
in all things the glory of God, the sanctification of our members and the
salvation of all people throughout the world, in keeping with our charism
as missionaries in the Church. |
 |
We always keep this model of a missionary before us:
"Claretians are on fire with love, who spread its
flames wherever they go. They desire mightily and strive by all possible means
to set everyone on fire with God's love. Nothing daunts them; they delight
in privations, welcome work, embrace sacrifices, smile at slander, rejoice in
whatever torment they may have to suffer, and glory in the cross of Jesus Christ.
Their only concern is how they may follow Jesus Christ and imitate him through
prayer, working, suffering and striving constantly and single-mindedly for the
greater glory of God and the salvation of all."
