Frequently Asked Questions

How can I become a Claretian Missionary?
The path to the priesthood or brotherhood is one of discernment and discovery. Let us join you wherever you may be on that journey. Contact our UK Claretian Vocation Director Fr Martin Stone, CMF at: vocations@claret.org.uk.

How can I help the Claretian Missionaries?
We ask you to remember us in your prayers, especially those whom we minister to and with. We, in return, will remember you in our prayers. Your prayers help us bring Christ to the poor and marginalised, who, like many of us, struggle to provide for their daily needs. If you are interested in sharing a financial gift, or would like more information e-mail us at: webmaster@claretians.org.uk.

What are the most urgent needs the Claretians have identified?
Our experience has led us to focus our service on the needs of the poor, youth, evangelizing and forming new evangelizers, and families.

What do we mean when we say that we are an Apostolic community?
This term generally describes active communities — those communities that minister in the world. For example, in Belize we are working to improve the social well being of the area in which we serve, supporting and developing 14 primary schools. Around the world we undertake various ministries depending on the needs of the area were we are sent.

What does the abreviation "CMF" stand for?
"CMF" is an abbreviation taken from the Latin "Cordis Mariae Filius". Translated it means "Son of the Immaculate Heart of Mary". We are more widely known as Claretian Missionaries.
